Thanks to everyone for making our grand opening giveaway a huge success! We know it’s only been a couple weeks but we are planning a pretty ambitious expansion in the next couple weeks so what we need from all of you is to keep spreading the word about how awesome we are to all your friends and family.

When I was little, I wanted to be a chef (specifically baker) when I grew up, until I heard that I’d have to stand ALL DAY! (Have flat feet, so I knew it would hurt!)
I mixed my first cake at age 2 out of breakfast leftovers, while my dad napped and older brother & sister played (and no one watched me). Instead, I switched from kitchen chemistry and got a degree in chemical engineering instead.

This is an awesome contest. What I wanted to be when I was growing up was a Psychiatrist. I was always nosey and wanted to know what was up with everyone. I wanted to know if they had problems. I guess I was curious. Now that I am older with kids of my own, and not a Psychiatrist, I stick to myself and don’t pry into lives. I could use a Psychiatrist myself now. Ironic that I could use the same thing I wanted to be when I grew up. People should be very glad because they would of had a crazy woman to help them with their problems.

As a kid, I wanted to be the first female in the NHL. Unfortunately, this dream was crushed by a young goaltender a few years older than I. Now, like a lot of guys who did crack the NHL line-up, I can be found at home on the weekends with a bear, throwing popcorn at the TV and providing a play by play of how I could do it better.

I took an accounting course in high school, and although I am bad with numbers, it got me excited about business. With the first marketing course I took, I knew I had found my destiny. Unfortunately I’m already grown…but at the moment I’m doing exactly what I need to be doing, being a great Mom. When this chapter closes, I’d like to return to school and retrain, perhaps teaching? Or nursing? I don’t know just yet, but the world is still my oyster, as long as I draw breath.

This is kinda embarassing but I wanted to be a professional ice skater when I was younger. That’s not the embarassing part! My mom bought me one of those feet pajamas with pocahontas on the front and we had a kitchen floor made of linoleum so…….I would “skate” around the kitchen. lol, I closed my eyes and imagined I was on a real skating rink performing in front of a large audience and the judges all gave me a perfect 10 for my performance!

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a Police Officer so bad. By the way, don’t try to cut Barbies hair on your own – it does not work
I speak from personal experience. I did a lot of doll haircuts and curling jobs that were a total disaster.
Oh, and I also wanted to be a baker so I baked with my Easy Bake Oven all of the time. At the time those little cupcake sized cakes seemed so great. Now I realize that what was great was the fact that you could actually bake a cake with a 75 watt lightbulb.
The new Easy Bake ovens must work differently or something. They don’t look nearly as cool as the old ones from the 60’s and 70’s.
The funniest EBO story I have is the time I tried to make a spice cake – in the recipe it called for some vinegar (probably a 1/2 teaspoon or something) and some water (like a 1/2 cup). I acidentally switched the amounts of the vinegar and water so that the vinegar was the 1/2 cup. Boy oh boy did our house stink. Pew wee!
However, being the devilish girl I am (then and now both) I saved the cake, iced it very nicely, and fed it to one of my brothers. You should have seen his face at the first bite. I wish I had a picture to add cause you would be cracking up right now.
I was a naughtly little sister. Like they say, paybacks are he_ _! And my brothers were always picking on me ;(

When I was little I wanted to be a veterinarian because of my love for animals. Then I realized it wasn’t all about just loving poo,r sick animals but it involved having to deal with dying animals some of which you can’t save & also having to put them to sleep. I quickly changed my mind on that & just settled for having lots of pets instead. When I was a senior in highschool I was dead set on being a movie producer… yeah… I still don’t know where the hell THAT came from… I mean I LOVE movies, I’m a fan0girl, heh, but I have no interest really in producing movies… Now I’m a stay at home wife & mom who is about to attend a local tech school with my mom for a culinary diploma. I was pretty awkward as a kid, but this ugly duckling yearned to be a dying swan so off to ballet school went I. Well, the dance field was crowded with quacky-swan wannabes like me and a few true swan-types who seemed to float when they danced. The only way I’d ever float was in a boat and I wound up with a sea captain’s license delivering boats to rich folks. If I had it do over; I’d have chosen rich parents of my own so I could be independently wealthy…..now that is what I call a real career goal! Happy Hols, y’all!

I wanted to be a Navy Jet pilot well before TOP GUN & Mr. Tom Cruise made it cool. I used to wake up at 4am before school to fly F-14 Tomcat simulators on my PC. Then again right after school. I even had a friend sit in a chair behind me to pretend to be my Radar Intercept Officer. Everything was going in the right direction until I developed fumes disease….perfume (girls) and gas fumes (cars). Thanks!
