Been quite busy today with 3 quick giveaways so we’ll just jump right to the point. Besides, you don’t read this stuff anyways, right?
Since it was so popular we are bringing back the Canon PowerShot A480 or if you would prefer, we’ve added a Nintendo DS Lite to the prize pool!
Both products have an array of colours to choose from. Metallic blue, red, rose and silver for the Nintendo DS Lite and the Canon PowerShot comes in blue, red, black and silver flavours.

Goodness, I’ve been a parent for so much of my life at this point, I don’t get a lot of spontaneity. I can hardly even spell spontaneity.
We did chase a lightning storm once, on a whim. A very very dangerous whim. We ended up out on a back-country road, hair on our arms standing up…
When the lightning hit the trunk of our car, I decided we were close enough, and should probably go home.

The most fund (and spontaneous) thing I have ever done was I decided I wanted to go see the band Barenaked Ladies do a concert on New Years Eve in Detroit. Since it was so last minute I just decided to drive. I drove and stopped in Chicago (never been there before) and went to the Second City and then drove on to Detroit for the concert. I saw the concert, slept for about 6 hours and then drove straight home for 16 hours. It was crazy, but a ton of fun and I had never been to those cities before.

Pittsburgh with my sister years ago. I’ve always had a hate on for February. So we pulled out a map, figured out where we could drive in a day, and went there. Two sisters, no agenda, lots of fun!!

The funnest thing that I ever did was last December. I have entered the drawing to get SNL tickets since I was 16 years old (now 27). I finally got selected for a show. So I had 9 days to prepare for my first trip to NY. It was so cool. I had tickets to the live show, but camped out in front of NBC and got tickets to the dress rehearsal too and got so see both shows. After the show I waited outside and got to meet and take pics with a bunch of the cast. It was so cool. Bill Hader was especially a nioce person!!

The most spontaneous thing that I’ve ever done, was to buy a house. I was single and was riding around with a friend and happened upon a house that was a true handyman special and the price was fantastic. I wasn’t even looking to buy a house, but couldn’t pass this deal up. I went home later that day and told my parents that I brought a house. They thought I lost it. The next day, my parents checked it out and came back and said that it was a really great deal and wished me luck.

Most spontaneous fun thing I can think of is the year we decieded at the last minute that our trip to Cedar Point the next day would turn into a 2 day over night stay at the Breakers. Only room availabe for 2 adults and 3 kids was a $500 a night suite, we said what the heck and did it. Had a blast!!

Going to Disney World in Orlando, FL. We have tons of fun, I mean, TONS OF FUN!!! We’ve rode rides that I normally wouldn’t ride because of the shear terror of them and it being out of my element.
Esp. riding the Tower of Terror ride, was the worst and most horrible ride that it took someone dieing on it, it was so bad. The ride takes you from room to room and drops you out of a window straight down.
Ok, so that was my exciting adventure.

The most spontaneous thing I ever did was renew my wedding vows at a “drive in wedding chapel” in Vegas. I was wearing these purple shorts with a crazy t-shirt. The minister came out to our car while we drove through “The Tunnel Of Love”. We unrolled our windows and he leaned in and performed the actual ceremony. He asked if we had rings and I just sucked my finger and took off my original engagement ring and wedding band. My husband put them back on my finger. The minister was a serious as could be and I was giggling away like a teenager. He gave us a certificate and everything. The only thing missing was a McDonald’s drive through for the reception.
Most random thing I’d ever done was after watching an episode of the Simpsons was do the Bart strut down my street.

One morning at the Bahamas I saw some fins sticking out of the water. And before I knew it I jumped into the water, without knowing if they were shark fins or dolphin fins. Luckily they were just dolphins! It was cool to swim with them, especially since they were wild.

The most spontaneous and REALLY FUN thing that I can remember doing especially recently was when my hubby and I “volunteerd” to work for an outdoor music festival here in Michigan. It was alot of hours of physical and mental work put into it but to be part of such a magical and HUGE event/production such as Rothbury Music Festival (http://www.rothburyfestival.com) with nearly 50,000 peeps in attnendance was so incredibly amazing to say the least! We had HUGE “perma grins” on our faces the entire weekend! The feeling of accomplishment and pride that we had to help out with this event has stayed with us forever along with the new friends,and great memories that we made!

I was dating this guy and after 2 weeks he had asked me to move in with him so I did. Two months later I had found out he had lied to me about his age, said he was 10 years younger then he was, (he still doesnt look his age) so I broke up with him. The most spontaneous (or most fun) thing that you’ve ever done was to quickly arrange a trip to Mexico to surpise my parents. Trick was their flight was to leave 1 hour before ours but was delayed and we ended up leaving first from a gate three away from theirs. We got to the airport early and hide out while covertly watching them. We arrived at the destination first and surprised them by being seated at their favourite table at the hotel! The look on their faces!! Priceless!

I wish I had have done something super spontaneous like bungee jumping, but NO, I chickened out after they already attached the harness and bungee. Maybe I would have done it if it involved getting naked…since getting nekkid is usually what drives me to do most crazy things! ;P
We saw a sign for Bungee jumping while driving out east, we decided to stop at the last second, turn around and go for it! Conclusion> none of us took the jump that day LOL.
Most of the crazy things I do, I never really though of as being spontaneous because doing them is just expected of me. Like one year I went skinny-dipping at the beginning of March, water was thaw but DAMN COLD, I managed to convince my two girl friends to jump in too! We could have poked some eyes out if anybody got too close that’s for sure!!
I really need a new camera because the so-called features on ours are failing, however my 4yr old is turning 5 next month and the DS would be a great gift, so I would chose the Nintendo DS.

In my early 20’s, I was living in a really small town. There was a big blizzard and the roads were closed because of the snow. A bunch of decided to make snow people at the crossing of the 2 main streets. We made a bunch of them. Ok it was dumb. But at the time it was fun. There was nothing else to do in the town during a blizzard so we made the best of it.
They were there for 2 days before the plow came and ran them down.

I love taking weekend trips on the spur of the moment and we used to do it more when the kids were small. I’d pack what we’d need and when they’d get home from school Friday afternoon, we’d take off for Chicago or Lake of the Ozarks or wherever. Great fun!

I live a mile from downtown and love to see the sites and get exercise at the same time. Even though Iowa is flat we do have fantastic hills so walking is free and fun way to relax and take in the fresh air!

On the way home, I saw a homeless person pushing his cart down the sidewalk. I turned around, gathered all my change, chased him down, said “excuse me”, he said “sorry” and moved his cart out of the way, and I gave him the money while mumbling something about this is for you. He was stunned and then shook it off ad said “thank you”.
Nothing like doing a good deed to make you feel on top of the world.

Life is funnier then fiction: I like to take pictures that make you look and laugh. A VW bug was towing another VW bug, stopped short, and the tow bar lifted the rear bug onto the first’s back. Even Bugs need love.
I used to worry about “Slow Children at Play” until I saw the sign “Slow Men at Work”.
My mind sees and thinks as if I was standing on one leg. I enjoy the view.
I have even taken a picture of a the sign “Take Stairs in Case of Fire”. Why would I want to use a stair that is located or standing inside a box on fire or a fire-proof box with fire inside? Hmmm

As a teenager in British Columbia we use to climb a huge sandhill, which took our entire lunch break to accomplish… just for the fun of sliding down once and dropping into the creek below. Scheduling a last minute vacation.
My kids really wanted to have snow for Christmas last year….and there is no snow where we live so while they were at school, my hubby and I rented a snowcone machine and filled my toddler’s baby pool up with snow. The expressions on their faces were unforgettable as they got to play in the snow. Such an awesome memory. I would like to win the Nintendo DS LITE.

OK – My husband and I went for a drive to see a property he was interested in buying. It was only 5km off the main road but it took us about 40 minutes to get to because it was a rough road. I knew we were out for the day so I did pack a lunch. We had a nice picnic in the back of the pick-up truck to get away from the insects – then I ‘attacked’ my husband…so there we were in the back of the truck, me 5 and a half months pregnant and having a great time with very little room to move! If the truck’s a rockin’ don’t come a knockin’!!!!!!!!!

Well, I am about to embarrassed to say, But the funnest most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done was make love in the snow on the front lawn of a church right before my husband and i got married!! On the lawn of the church is not what made it fun but definitely spontaneous. We were driving down the street and just happened to stop right there! It was snowing and already pretty deep, about 1 foot and a half… We still talk about it!

Shock and awe doesn’t begin to describe my emotions and as I tried to recover from what I had just heard, I took a step backwards, and tumbled into the near frozen river. After fishing me out of my polar bear swim in the river, the most spontaneous thing I ever did was say “yes.”

Most spontaneous? I was VERY pregnant (like 7 months) with my second child. We decided that we needed a weekend away before we had 2 kids to contend with and all. We elected to go our old ’style’ and flip a coin (after hiring grandma to babysit of course) and just drive!
We drove up to the mountains and started hiking (don’t miss that I was 7 months pregnant at the time). I guess I was having a really good time, because we got back and had to ask how long the trail was… 10 miles! I flipped a coin, drove off into the mountains with my husband & hiked 10 miles… We tell the boys that story now everytime they say they can’t do this or that… If I can do it- anyone can!

The funniest thing that my husband has ever done was that at one time, we were Seattle (mid-August, I believe), he thought that it would be very easy to find a hotel/motel to stay inside the provincial park of Mt. Rainer and he never made booking in advance. It was 9:00 p.m. at night when we started to look for hotel and obviously everything was booked up within the provincial park. We then drove to the next small town and of course, there’s nothing available. Even the gas station was closed by then. We finally decided to park at the parking lot of the hospital (thank God there was a hospital there), without having any dinner (cause everything already closed), we went to the hospital to use the bathroom and then decided to sleep inside the car. Before we left for the car to go inside the hospital for washroom, he actually took a toothbrush with him as he said even though we did not have any dinner, did not have a motel to stay but he need to brush his teeth!!!!

Couple years ago, I had a skateboard lying around from my brother that I never used. I decided to pick it up and I began riding down a little slope. It was so fun that no matter how much times I fell, I picked myself up. Few days later, I decided to start riding down a hill. Strangely, as I rode down with lots of speed, the car drivers didn’t slow down at all. I guess they thought I was a pro. Eventually, the skateboard had enough and a wheel fell off while I was riding down the hill. Fortunately, no cars were coming at the time and I was able to brake.
I’ve been wanting a DS lite. Hope I get lucky.
The most spontaneous plus most fun thing my husband and I ever done, was go camping in the middle of woods in Maine in the middle of May which was freezing cold and we were so not prepared.. but we had the most amazing adventure. I would love to do it again!!!

One of the most spontaneous things I ever did happened last winter. We had a nice big snow, and the whole family and many neighbors helped to build a nice big igloo. We were quite impressed as to how it turned out. Anyway, the next day, the weather warmed up a little but not enough to melt our igloo. For some reason my husband and I went out there that night with a blanket and yes, we made love in that igloo! We still think back upon that night and wonder if there is some kind of club we can claim rights to for doing it in an igloo, you know kind of like the mile high club… Perhaps the Eskimo pie club?

Had a water ballon fight in the middle of winter inside the house with hubby and ruined a Vcr and a few other things in the process. But we had so much fun.
I had fun climbing large hills.
I went on a date to a local park a few years ago. We parked at the school next door. My date brought a guitar and serenaded me with songs. We were there late into the evening… little did we know the school parking lot was locked at sundown. We were stuck on the top of a hill locked in a parking lot. We got in my tiny car ‘jumped’ the curb and drove down a hill of grass to get out!
When I was 20 (a long time ago) my future husband & future sister-in-law piled into my little truck and drove from WA to CA. I didn’t sleep the entire trip, we drove straight through, and I was the only driver! Can’t say as I’d be able to do it again, but I love road trips!

It’s really tough to choose just *one* spontaneous/fun thing I’ve done when I’ve done quite a few things with my friends and on my own.
One of my faves is definitely the “AKon Elevator Ride”. While attending an anime convention in TX, one of my friends and I decided to randomly ride a particular elevator to pass time, knowing that this elevator gets stuck on certain floors. My friend recorded it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrOgQ-bwkX8), and even more randomness ensued, including riding the elevator with someone dressed as Jesus. It was fantastic~

I was in Ecuador in 2008. I was in the capital city of Quito and decided that I would do the Teleferiqo (sp) This is a cable car that brings someone to the highest point. At that time you can walk over to a vulcano. I was completely petrified going all the way up. Once I got there the air was so thin I couldn’t even breathe! My husband being from Ecuador and a mountain man left me behind to go see the vulcano. I had to sit and wait for him to come back for about an hour. This point is so high that they have a doctor’s office right on staff and there are signs everywhere that say “do not run” because the oxygen is limited. It was a very beautiful site and I am glad I did it, but I can say that if you live in the plains like I do maybe we should just leave it to the mountaineers!
The most fun I had was a vacation from Calgary to Vancouver, and proposing to my wife at Lake Louise.

Once, many moons ago, I went skinny dipping on a dare.
The most spontaneous (and best) thing I’ve ever done is run off to get married. We had only been dating for 6 months when one morning my boyfriend (now husband) asked me if I wanted to go look at rings. Here’s the story of my most spontaneous experience: friend kicked me out of a party so I decided to relieve my anger by driving from Davis (CA) to Reno at 2am in the morning! But on the way to Reno, just felt like Las Vegas would be better! 10 hours of driving later with no resting or sleeping… arrived in Vegas in one piece!

Most spontanious thing ive done is after finishing work at 4am in a pub went to a club to meet a friend, stayed out all nite the following morning found an early house, then partied all day and nite met up with more friends that nite finally fell home the following day, all this happened in Oz where the pubs never shut!
one spring break instead of leaving school my friend Kyle and I decided to build a hut in the woods and live in it. it took us three days to build and we stayed in it for almost the entire two weeks. we cooked on an actual fire and slept on the ground, it was really cool.

One of the most spontaneous things I’ve ever done involved missed flights, an island, and a mystery destination. It shakes out like so: I missed my flight from Heathrow to Barcelona, but was so sick and tired of the British rain, that I walked back to the counter and told the gentleman that I’d take the next plane leaving this island. Low and behold, I ended up with a very nice stay in Venice, and took the train down to Rome a few days later. Ended up in Barcelona eventually, but what a great spontaneous sidetrack!
The most spontaneous thing i ever did was jump into a pool with my clothes on a dare while on vacation for a business trip in florida.

When my husband’s step dad had his transplant, we dropped everything, and had a neighbor come watch the kids until my parents could drive up and get them for us.
That isn’t spontaneous, or fun! Just a big waste of money!
The most fun thing I have ever done would have to be going on a hunt in the middle of the night looking for this moose skull with my friends!
We were told about this skull near a lake and I “thought” I remebered how to get there from camping as a child so we all got in the car and off we went! .. We passed the road maybe 6 times before we found it, then couldn’t take the car down cause it was in poor shape.. so here were are jumping at evey little noise, tripping and falling in the dark!
We found the moose skul! One friend took it home to put in in bleach only to have her parents dispose of it the next day!
I guess I’m not really a very spontaneous person because the best I can think of is after growing my hair out a while I decided one day to get ten inches cut off and given to Locks of Love.

I told her and proudly announced that I had won a free sandwich on a peel off coupon on my drink. She said she had also gone to Micky Dees for lunch and won something. The most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done happened about 3 or 4 years ago when I was completing my undergraduate career at UT.
I decided to take a semester off of college as I was feeling rather burned out and took a road trip, by myself, from Texas, to California, and all the way over to Maine.
I was surprised how easy it was, retrospectively, and even though I was a poor student, I still managed to afford super cheap motel rooms, cheap dining and occasionally managed to convince people I met along the way to house and feed me.
The best part, honestly, was just simply all the wonderful people I met traveling across this great nation. I found it surprising how many wonderful stories we all had to tell, and I’ll be certain to never forget all those faces

I can’t remember the most spontaneous thing because I’m not all that spontaneous. The other day it was snowing huge, fluffy flakes and I ran outside with my 3 year old niece to catch the cold flakes on our tongues. I was in slippers and we didn’t even put on coats. It was so fun. We only stayed out for a few minutes but we laughed the entire time and came back in still laughing.

The most fun and spontaneous thing I did was @ 17 my bf and I “fooled” our parents into thinking we were spending the night at each others place We actually hopped on a bus to the next town with camping gear to meet guys and just have some freedom. Well it didn’t turn out how we expected. The guys we met weren’t worth mentioning, we spent all our money so couldn’t afford a camp spot (we needed what we had left to get the bus home) so we tried to sleep on the beach but that was illegal and a little scary so we slept behind a hotel and ate cold spaghetti out of the can. The next day we took the bus home. I still don’t remember ever laughing so much as we had nothing to do but be silly. In retrospect it was pretty stupid and dangerous but other than being tired and dirty we were lucky and had a hoot even though it didn’t turn out as planned.
BTW Momma needs a new pair of camera. I know doesn’t excactly fit but I thought it was kinda funny. Will be happy with just the one camera LOL
The craziest thing we ever did was decide to fly to paris on a whim. We could only stay for 3 days, and most of that was on a plane. But it was fun!

One of the spontaneous things I’ve done that still makes me smile to this day….. It was my friend’s 14th birthday party and we were all gathered around the cake. After we all sang happy birthday to him, on a whim, I took my piece of cake and shoved it in my friend’s face (not the birthday boy). EVERYONE jumped in on the fun and we had a food fight INSIDE the house. We were running around the house, picking cake up off the ground, and just had a blast throwing everything at each other. Luckily my friend’s parents weren’t home & we cleaned up the place until it was spick&span
It was just one of many fun times.

I once decide to go on an overseas trip left within 3days and forgot to come back, since I missed my return flight, I decided to stay for 6years.
I was on a date at a restraurant and I was talking to him while our drinks came and just as i went to sip from my straw……The straw moved and landed in my nostril. He totally seen! and its only time my face actually turned red….oh and i did change the straw lol!

I flew to a city away from where i lived to meet my husband for the first time, we had met on the internet and i went there to meet him in person for the first time, it was the first time i had ever done something like that on my own, it felt weird but exciting at the same time, we spent two days over there at the beach, then went back to my home town to get married after knowing each other in person for only three days, and got married on my birthday!

We were strolling at a park in Australia and I saw a beautiful girl sitting on a bench. I told that to my brother and told him that I wanna impress the girl. There’s a fountain there and we went playing frisbee. Of course, acting as if I was so cool, I tried to win every single match we had until he threw the plate real hard. I tried to catch it and while doing so, even passed by the bench where she was seated. I still acted cool and ran as fast as I could to catch it. Next time I knew, I was soaking wet inside the pond/fountain. She even laughed at me. That time it seemed so funny. Now, urgh! haha

I went to the store to buy some sheets of intermediate paper. While walking, I suddenly thought of our upcoming class report about Arthropods (the group of eight legged animals). I was worried because it’s due in two days. Arriving at the store with arthropods still in my head, the storekeeper asked me:

Me: Can I have some pieces of “Arthropods”?
Surprised and at the same time embarrassed, the storekeeper gave me a jumping spider which he found sneaking beside the cash register.

Spontaneous…hmm, definitely a lot of moments that have happened spontaneously since my college career has begun. There was one point at three in the morning where me, my roommate and two guys from my dorm all went walking around the city for five hours! It was so much fun, and we had no idea we were going to be pulling an all nighter together. We picked up glass bottles off the road and threw them up in the air, etc. We went to two parks around campus and just went crazy. It was awesome!

My husband, myself and our 2 young children were on vacation in New brunswick. When it came time to return home, I decide on the spur of the moment that i wanted to stay and go to PEI with the children. My husband went back to Ontario on the bus to his job. I stayed with the kids and went on to PEI. Did I mention we were camping. I never put up a tent on my own, never started a camp fire. Some how I figured it out. I remember the kids clapping when I got a fire going. Quite empowering.

once my best friend and i were walking home from the park after school. the streets were empty as it was 5pm – ish, and it was summer, so it was boiling hot. we wanted a little fun so we decided to lie down in the middle of the roads and run to the side whenever a car comes. we’ve been yelled at by angry drivers, looked at funny by confused passengers, and were even laughed at. but guess what? we were laughing the whole time! it was so much fun.

I’m not sure…I do recall the time when I was in my early 20’s when we had really heavy rains, I’m talking monsoon style. It was late evening and I was hanging out with 2 friends. I convinced them that we should go for a walk. We headed out to the grocery store for chips and the like. Any way, we were SOAKED to the bone. When we arrived at the store the staff were looking at us like we were nuts. We were laughing hysterically. The place was empty of customers (as were the streets) since sane folk would not have ventured out for a walk or drive that day. Ah to be young and silly again.

I was in CA for a funeral and later that same day we were sitting and moping at my brother’s house when he decided to do something to change our spirits. We called a pilot friend of his and went flying in his small Cessna, and I got to take the controls and fly over the Golden Gate Bridge. Talk about highs and lows in the same day!

I would love to win the Nintendo ds lite. the most spontaneous thing I can remember doing was driving by this small mountain at night with a group of guys and deciding to climb it. I can recall a couple of guys getting lost for a little while on the way down.

One of the most spontaneous and most fun things I ever decided to do was last year. I moved from my hometown of 22 years to a new state, joined the service and am now on my way to becoming an officer in the United States Army. Hands down the best thing I ever decided to do for myself!!

I would love the camera. Most spontanious thing I have ever done was moving to NC. My life was at a crossroads and I basically said eenie meenie miny moe with the map ~ and moved. Best move ever ~ I later met and married my husband and I just gave birth to our first child a month ago.

I’m not very spontaneous, but I did once book a trip to Disneyworld that had us leaving in less than 48 hrs. That trip was one of the most fun things we’ve ever done. I would choose the Canon A480 camera.

Most spontaneous or dumb thing I’ve ever done was decided to drive across state in a small car after a huge snow storm. Normal drive is about 2 hours took 5 and had to cut around 50 trees off the roads.
I once just hopped on a plane to SF California for the weekend. Great time and my friends out there were extremely surprised to see me!

I had just stayed up all night for my senior all-night party and so I had just started falling asleep when I decided I wanted to go shopping at the Mall of America…I got up and convinced my sister to take me and we shopped for like five hours after only a couple minutes of sleep. I have been afraid to fly for years. I finally broke down when my husband and I decided to go on a cruise. There’s a place in our university called the sunken garden. Whenever we feel like venting our feelings out, my housemate and I go there and scream at the top of our lungs in the middle of the night. And then, when security persons hear us we hide in shrubs and see them run really afraid because they can’t see us.

When I’m bored, I build large obelisks in my frontyard. I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish and entire dining room that evening. I have won cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka.
But I have not yet had a Nintendo DS.

When I was in high school I made plans with a friend to spend a weekend in Cincinnati to see two concerts. He was planning on driving down with his brother late on Friday, so I went ahead. Well, he totally flaked on me. But I decided to go to the concerts by myself and still loved it. I’ve had no problem going to shows alone since then.
